Grandpa and Grandma Lizotte's Mini Farm

Roger is Marie Lizotte's youngest son. He and his wife, Virgie live out in the country outside of Lockhart, Texas.
Abby
They have mini horses one of which was just born four days ago. Roger's mother, almost 103 years old named him. She is French. I showed her the picture of their new little filly and asked her what the French word for horse was. She said, "Cheval." I told Virgie what she had said, and she said, "that will be her name."
They have several great grandchildren that love to visit their little "ranch" because they always have a supply of carrots for the little ones to feed as well as the grownups.
I am putting several pictures on this post so you can see you are never too old to start a new hobby/venture.

I asked Virgie why they started the Mini Ranch because I knew she loved big horses. She told me that when she and Roger were dating he took her to a place where they raised the minis and she fell in love with them.
Chavel
When they first bought their place three years ago it was nothing but brush and mesquite trees. Roger had a lot of work to do clearing it and building new out buildings for the animals.

They have made friends with a long time ago cousin, Jeannine, and her daughter, which is wonderful. They love the little miniature horses. Virgie's daughter is also very instrumental in helping because she does their chores when Roger and Virgie are gone or are unable to do them for some reason.
